Tequila Poker Review
Poker and blackjack seem like such different games that only cards can unite them. However, there is a version of poker that resembles blackjack in the way that points are counted. It’s called Tequila Poker and its online version can be found in Playtech-powered casinos.
This game has simple rules that can be learned in a minute. But it is not so easy to develop the right strategy for it.
Rules and combinations
Tequila Poker is a gambling card game with elements of poker and blackjack. It uses a standard fifty-two-sheet deck without jokers. The cards are laid out on the table face down.
The goal of the game is to get a payout by betting on the formation of a poker combination or a set of the required number of points. The dealer in Tequila Poker does not play, so there is no comparison of combinations. Bets can only be placed on one box.
Tequila Poker rules are more convenient to study, consistently breaking the course of the game. It consists of these steps:
The player makes an initial bet of the selected size on the field for ante.
The dealer deals four cards face down.
The player evaluates them and decides: to discard the cards or continue the game. In the second case, he must make an additional bet of the same size to form a standard poker combination of a pair of aces or higher (tequila poker) or a set of forty-six points in the top five cards on the table (high tequila).
If the client continues to play, the dealer deals two more cards.
Pair of Aces – 1:1
Two pairs – 2:1
Three pairs – 3:1
Straight – 5:1
Flush – 7:1
Full house – 8:1
Fourteen to one
Street flush – 50:1
Royal Flush 200:1
Of course, the combination can show up as early as the first four cards.
High tequila is a bet that the top five cards on the table will have forty-six points or more. They are counted the same way as blackjack: twos to tens are at face value, pictures are ten, aces are always eleven points. High tequila also equals ante.
Payouts are made at these ratios:
46-48 – 1:1
49 – 2:1
50 – 3:1
51 – 4:1
52 – 7:1
53 – 15:1
54 – 200:1
As you can see, the value of royal flush in Tequila Poker is equal to ace carat with any ten.
Tequila Poker is a very curious game that is not as simple as it may seem at first glance. At present we cannot offer you the best strategy for tequila poker
