Wild West Slots Graphics
With an ever-popular western slots theme, this game offers traditional imagery including a smoking cowboy, one-eyed cowboy, red-haired barmaid, sheriff badge, crossed guns and classic 10 – A playing cards.
The reels themselves are positioned on swinging saloon doors, with a dusty background and tumbleweed bringing you into the world of the characters you’re playing with.
This game has a classic feel to it, featuring simple wood and metal materials which are perfectly at home in the deep west wilderness. Even the paytable and Hi-Roller screens are mounted on hanging wooden fixtures, bringing a consistent saloon feel to every part of this game.
For the Silver and Gold Hi-Roller variations of gameplay, the colours adjust to match the stakes you’ve selected, including the star-shaped badges morphing into either gold or silver. The dusty desert background also transforms from day to night to set the scene for adventure.
How To Win At Wild West Slots
There are loads of options for winning when playing Wild West (Novomatic) slots as it is a bothway slot machine: meaning that you can match symbols across the reels running from left to right or right to left. The wild can replace any symbol, and with the absence of a scatter, this can mean some big wins.
Hitting a wild anywhere on the main reel set will transfer it onto the 3 smaller reel sets, which again gives you additional chances to win.
During Gold or Silver gameplay, these wilds will not only transfer from the main reel set onto the smaller ones, but will lock into position on all 4 reel sets for the duration of your 3 Hi-Roller spins, increasing your chances to hit those huge wins with every spin.
How To Play Wild West Slots
There are three variations of gameplay in this slot game: Standard, Silver and Gold. For all of these, you spin the reels by clicking on the green ‘start’ button and can ‘gamble’ any winnings.
In the very top right-hand corner you have four settings which allow you to turn music or sound effects on or off, plus two options for expanding the screen if playing on a larger device.
You can set your bet by clicking on the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ buttons next to the ‘bet’ section at the bottom of the screen. With the ability to wager from £0.40 to £16.00 per line, this game should suit a variety of players.
How To Play: Standard Game
The game will open on Standard Game, so all you need to do is click on the green ‘start’ button in the bottom right of the screen to spin the reel. When you hit a win, you are given the chance to ‘collect’ or ‘gamble’ your winnings.
If you choose to collect, you can watch your winnings count down as they go into your credit. The ‘gamble’ option is only suitable for the toughest cowboys, as it asks you to predict whether a spinning card will be black or red. You can keep guessing for as long as you wish, as long as you get it right. If you select the wrong colour, you’ll lose your precious bounty.
To the far left of the screen, you have a yellow ‘autoplay’ feature for hands-free play. Clicking on this will expand an option box allowing you to select the number of automatic spins as well as a loss or win limit, keeping the control in your hands even when you allow the game to run for you.
Wild West Slots Bonus Features
As well as the Hi-Roller options, Novomatic has also incorporated a Gunshot Bonus to keep the game interesting. This bonus is randomly triggered following any wins and involves a gun shooting at one or more of the reel sets. If the shot hits its target, you can be awarded with up to 10x your winnings on that reel.
